The Hands That Rock Delivers Massage Magic for International Music & Film Conference

Prominent Festivals and Events Join The Hands That Rock Movement

AUSTIN, TX, December 20, 2012 – The Hands That Rock (HTR) attended the International Music and Film Conference (http://www.imfcon.com) in Austin, Texas, December 2 through 4, 2012, to massage its message about bringing the magic of music to students in underserved communities. Flying under the banner of “Created By Festivals for Festivals,” the International Music and Film Conference brings together a wealth of music festival professionals and entertainment executives to network, learn from one another, establish partnerships and understand the latest trends in festival operations. As a result of the conference, several more festivals have signed up to support the HTR mission.

“HTR attended the International Music and Film conference to promote our massage for charity initiative,” says Darcy Lynch, founder of Hands that Rock.“We encouraged festival promoters to have HTR participate as a sponsor at upcoming events to massage patrons, artists and festival personnel. HTR donates net proceeds to its designated partner organization, Little Kids Rock, or partners with an event producer’s charity of choice.”

Many festivals are involved with community support initiatives and have already established 501(c)(3) not-for-profit giving organizations, or have identified a need in the community where the festival is being held to help funnel support.“This is a great way to give back to the underserved communities around the country,” continues Lynch. “This effort exposes HTR to the thousands of festival enthusiasts that travel from all over the country to attend these events. This is a real win/win for everyone.”

The Harmony Festival in Northern California is a huge event and was most excited by an HTR partnership. “I’ve been thinking about what we can do together throughout this whole conference since we first spoke,” says Howard Sapper, producer of the Harmony Festival. “I have been looking at music education for special needs children and believe HTR is a good fit.”

The Wintergrass Festival in Bellevue, Washington immediately secured HTR’s participation after the IMF Conference for its upcoming four-day event held on February 28 to March 3, 2013.
